Wisconsin Hangs On

Article By: RB4SC22

Madison, WI - AP

Wisconsin returned home to Big 10 play after an impressive block 3 to take on a fiesty Rutgers team who represented the Big 10 last season in the Indy against Ohio State.

The Badgers have been playing complimentary football as of late, as they have been running the ball well with multiple backs, passing the ball well with their new QB in Braedyn Lock, and playing great defense forcing INTs and fumbles all over the field.

Wisconsin got off to a hot start taking a 17-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter after forcing 3 first quarter INT. Rutgers QB Kalilamakis struggled early, but then figured it out later in the game to end up throwing for over 400 yards.

Rutgers got the game within 7 and then eventually 3 in the final minutes. Awful timing for Coach RB, as his 11 month old woke up with 3 minutes to go while trying to seal the deal and had to hold her while he played out the end. "I won't blame the missed FG to go up 6 on it, but let's just say holding a crying 11 month old while kicking a FG is not recommended" said Coach RB.

Rutgers drove the ball down the field to get in a FG range, but an unfortunate scenario caused them to be unable to call a TO, so UW went on to hold on.

We got lucky, we held on, definitely need to clean up the late game defense and not get too laid back. Great game Rutgers and coach Capper. GL rest of the way.
