The Huskies fell 34-3 against the Michigan wolverines in a snowy night at the Big House.
The game started slow in the first, with both offenses struggling to move the ball in snow conditions. The only points of the first quarter came off a 34 yard field goal by the wolverines, with the field position set up by a Will Rodgers interception, who throw 4 on the day once again.
The Huskies were able to get their strongest drive of the game near the start of the second, but stalled out on the 5 yard line. The Huskies elected to kick a 22 yard field goal, tieing the game 3-3. The game was all Wolverines from there on out. A long drive ensued with a 19 yard TD run from Amorion Walker. Will Rodgers then threw another interception, this time to Makari Paige who returned it for an interception. The quarter ended in a 17-3 score.
The 3rd quarter was once again slow with both offenses struggling to move the ball in the snow. However, the Wolverines were able to find a deep shot to WR Fredrick Moore who caught a TD for 66 yards. The Husky defender dove to early giving the WR an open lane for the TD.
The Wolverines iced the game in the 4th, starting it with a 42 yard TD run from Donovan Edwards. The Huskies defense was tired after multiple interceptions from the Husky offense and strong Wolverine rushing attack. The Wolverines added onto their lead with a 36 yard field goal. The Huskies tried to move the ball in the air to no avail.
GG Phreak, and good luck the rest of the way!
Makari Paige takes it to the house for a 17-3 lead.
The #21 Michigan Wolverines hosted the #25 Washington Huskies on a cold snowy night. The first 12 minutes of the game was a defensive battlefield that led to 3 points for each team. Michigan got a little tricky under two minutes left in the game and ran a reverse in which Amorion Walker had to outrun the defense 19 yards for his 10th touchdown of the season. The Wolverines Defense was able to take all momentum away from Washington by the end of the 1st half.
Phreakk said, "We relied heavily on our defense in this game as the conditions weren't the best and our defense shined in the way we expect each and every game".
