In a thrilling matchup, the Kennesaw State Owls faced off against the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in a hard-fought contest that showcased both teams' resilience and determination and the start of conference play.
First Half
The game started with high energy, as both teams traded possessions. Kennesaw State’s offense, led by their dual-threat quarterback, found early success, using a mix of rushing and passing plays to move down the field. The drive ended with a Garrison Rippa 20 yard field goal to go up 3 for Jacksonville.
Second Quarter
Owls get on the board in the second quarter on a 2:43 drive that gets finished off with a catch from Tykeem Wallace for a 9 yard reception touchdown thrown by Davis Bryson, Extra point by Austin Welch.
Jacksonville state came down field quick with a 76 yard catch down field caught by Michael Pettway for a touchdown thrown by Tyler Huff.
Jacksonville state Got a good Defensive stop and got the ball back with 25 second left. Jacksonville state ran a draw play to Tre Stewart to run the the clock out and he busted a 65 yard run off to go up 11.
Owls get the ball back with 3 seconds left and have a great kick return to about the 50. They run one play for a hail marry at the 50 and there was a scrum for the ball in the back of the end zone and the ball bounces around 3 to 4 times and they convert a hail marry to Carson Kent for a 50 yard catch from David Bryson to end the second half.

Second Half
With some nice second half adjustments Owls find all there offensive line assignments and break a rushing touchdown for 73 yards down field by Michael Benefield.
Jacksonville comes down field quick with a receiving touchdown caught by Samario Rudolph thrown by Tyler Huff.
Jacksonville gets the ball back with a nice defensive stop and return a punt for a 72 yard punt return TD by Michael Pettway.
Jacksonville gets another nice defensive stop and kick a 33 yard field goal by Garrison RIppa.
Jacksonville gets a inception td returned for 37 yards by Derek Carter.
Jacksonville get the ball back with another great defensive stop and runs the clock out for a 41-21 victory to start conference play.
