Wazzu can't keep up with BSU

Pullman, WA - Coach Roc has always stated that his teams get off the bus running. Whether that's the flexbone magic of his G-Tech days, running Bobby Rainey into brick walls at WKU, or coaching up Barry Sanders Jr. in a 3 headed committee at Stanford, this has always been the standard. So with Coach Roc coming out to the farm to coach the Broncos and being given his most ridiculous weapon in his coaching career, it's only natural to see what the ol' Ground n Pound actually can do with a monster like Jeanty at the helm.

That said, Coach Roc is ever the compassionate gentleman and has tried his best to throw 10 times a game. Seeing the success of a Power 4 machine at Iowa makes it tough, but in benching Malachi Nelson and dropping Maddux Madsen into the fray, Coach Roc may have found his own version of balance.

Coming into Pullman there was a delay in getting this game played as Coach Matt, who regularly dominated the everloving hell out of Coach Roc was unfortunately replaced by Coach TripleSteeze who got to work quickly dispatching the plucky San Jose St Spartans, dashing any hope of a ranking for now. Having next to no tape, Coach Roc had to get creative with the game plan.

And by creative he meant to pound the rock to get a feel for Coach Steeze's defense. However, it's a long season so Jambres Dubar, the sophomore out of Texas will be giving Jeanty some much-needed breathers so he has some juice for the stretch run of conference play against some early season heavy hitters, SDSU, Wyoming & SJSU.

Wayshawn Parker steamrolled the Spartans going for nearly 200 yards against the Spartans, and thus the Broncos knew they needed to key in on the run game to avoid having to pick their poison. 'Wazzu QB John Mateer is dangerous, but a bit of a gunslinger, so getting him to throw was the move' Coach Roc said after the game. The Broncos forced 3 INTs one of which was pick 6 to help put the game out of reach for good.

Jeanty was efficient as ever, though did fail to break 200 yards for only the 2nd time this season finishing with 178 yards and 2 TDs, a pedestrian statline if you ask him. Maddux Madsen had an impressive 50% TD to completion ratio, finishing 6/7 for 177 & 3 TDs. With the game mostly in hand, the Broncos controlled the clock and got out of Pullman with a much-needed win. After facing a meat grinder of a Week 1 & 2 schedule, things finally seem to be clicking in Boise for Coach Roc & the Farmboys.
