Wolverines devour the Gophers

Article By: taruncheel

Minnesota had a home game against the Wolverines and it went the way the fans expected. It was slow going at first with Michigan scoring a TD mid-way through the first quarter. The Gophers were able to score in the 2nd quarter to make it 7-7. This is where everything went wrong for the Golden Gophers. Brosmer had two fumbles that were returned for touchdowns and he threw 3 interceptions during the game. The Gophers could never get back on track and Michigan was able to grind out the clock for a 41-7 victory.

"I was very impressed by the Michigan defense. They are quick and they can really hit. They forced 6 turnovers and shut down all passing lanes. Once we were behind after the 2 fumble returns, it was lights out for us. They are definitely a strong team," replied Coach Taruncheel.

Minnesota has really struggled this season. They are now 1-5 (0-3) and things don't look much better. They need to turn their season around or Coach Taruncheel may be packing his bags looking for a new home.

DE Stewart continued his dominant tear adding a sack, FF, and Scoop and Score

The Wolverines Defense dominated Golden Gophers in the Little Brown Jug Rivalry defeating them 41-7. The Defense was able to force 6 turnovers, 3 interceptions, 3 fumbles, and 2 scoop and scores. Gophers were held in check on offense to 201 total yards. Josiah Stewart continued his disruptive dominance forcing a fumble, recovering another fumble, and rumbling down the 33 yards to the house for a TD.

Alex Orji was able to keep his composure and lead the Wolverine Offense to three passing touchdowns and 161 yards in the air. He was able to find Colston Loveland in the end zone for a 9 yard pass (2 rec, 25 yards, and 1 TD). Michigan Playmaker Amorion Walker found the End Zone Twice on the day (6 receptions, 100 yards, and 2 TD), his 12th touchdown on this young season.

"Our defense came out firing on all cylinders tonight, this led to a positive Offensive output with 1 turnover. I expect for us to win the game when you win the turnover battle", said Coach Phreakk. He added, "Coach Taruncheel coached a hell of a game, he changed his game plan against us compared to his other opponents".

Coach we wish you the best of luck the rest of the season and look forward to catching back up.

Michigan turns its focus to Block 4, their opponents are a fiesty Bye and a Mean Orange Illini.
