Article By: uf83198

In a thrilling college football matchup, the Utah Utes triumphed over the Oklahoma State Cowboys with a final score of 38-27. The game showcased a blend of offensive fireworks and defensive stands, highlighting key players from both teams.

Oklahoma State;s Alan Bowman had a challenging outing, completing 23 of 39 passes for 254 yards, with one touchdown and four interceptions. His most effective target was Ollie Gordon II, who not only caught eight passes for 97 yards and a touchdown but also shined on the ground. Gordon rushed 16 times for 116 yards, scoring two rushing touchdowns, including a notable 37-yard burst. Despite the solid performance from Gordon, the Oklahoma State offense struggled to find consistency.

The Cowboys offensive line performed admirably, allowing zero sacks and opening up lanes for Gordon to exploit. Key contributors included Josh Ford and Cole Birmingham, each recording three pancake blocks.

Defensively, Oklahoma State was led by Collin Oliver, who tallied eight total tackles. However, the Cowboys were only able to secure two turnovers to swing momentum in their favor.

Utah capitalized on the opportunities presented throughout the game, executing a well-rounded offensive game plan. The Utes maintained a dynamic attack that outpaced the Cowboys, ultimately securing the victory and demonstrating their dominance at home. The game will be a pivotal moment in the season for both teams as they look to build on this performance moving forward.

Utah uses HUGE 4th quarter to come back!

Article By: PacksyD

Salt Lake City, UT (AP) - In coach packsyD's big 12 opener with his new and improved Utah Uteps football team, the visiting OK St Cowboys came into town for a weekend clash and both teams Big 12 opener.

In the end, the hero of the night was TE Brant Kuithe when they needed him the most. The Utes were able to hold Okie St to a FG where the Cowboys would take a 3 point lead. Utah had exhausted their timeouts and needed to drive to get into FG range on what looked to be the final drive of the game.

On 2nd and intermediate, TE Kuthie was up the seam unattended and QB Cam Rising hit him on a laser, Kuthie broke one tackle and he was off to the races! With the 4 point lead in hand, Utah was able to sit in a deep zone and 2 plays later CB Keenan Johnson picked off a pass and returned it for a Utes TD to put the game away with under 1 minute to go.

The Okie St running attack and Ollie Gordon showed why he is a force to be reckoned with as he was the leading receiver for the Pokes as well as its leading rusher. GG uf, good luck the rest of the way.
