The Gators came out against Mississippi State and showed who had the better team by exploiting the State defense while The Bulldog offense could never get on track with fumbles and interceptions. the Bulldogs cannot wait to get a home game to see if they fair any better with the cowbells ringing.
After a tough win in College Station last week, the Florida Gators looked to continue their winning ways at home vs. the Mississippi State Bulldogs and coach beercop. The Gators did not disappoint, winning 37-3.
The Gators' rush offense was the day's story, racking up 264 yards on the ground. A 58-yard TD run by Jaden Baugh was the highlight, with the big freshman back showing he has the wheels to pull away from opponents.
Also, the Gators' defense caused 4 turnovers and allowed only 134 yards as the game was all but over by halftime.
Both offenses were in chew clock mode in the second half just trying to get the game over with as nothing of note occurred after the intermission.
Coach MC was quoted as saying, Everyone slept on our defense, especially after my debacle at Tulsa last year. But this is a different caliber of athlete in the Swamp, we fly to the ball and we put hats on you. We are quickly showing that this defense can lead us to places, hopefully, great heights and we'll ride them til we can't anymore.
Next week the surprisingly undefeated NIU Huskies come to the Swamp in a match-up of unbeaten. Coach MC will not take the Huskies lightly as they are coached by his longtime friend Addi Lopes.
