As the Air Force Academy started out playing cup games they were very optimistic on the season. They lost their first two, but they were competitive and were able to put points on the board. Well in their last two games and their first regular season game, they got beaten 70-0 and not able to do anything offensively or defensively! With the game 14-0 at the end of the first the offense struggled to catch back up, then when SJSU went up 28-0 at the half that's when it got really tough for the Falcons. No offense and just a little defense, mixed in with a bunch of turnovers are a recipe for disaster as the Falcons got whipped today. GG Vic, GL

Coach Vic’s first win was a memorable moment that set a strong foundation for his tenure. In his debut game versus Air Force, his team showed resilience and tactical discipline, a reflection of his coaching philosophy. The game saw the spartans come out with a fast start, showing a clear focus on controlling possession. The Spartans went up 14-0 in the first quarter, then after that 14 more points went up on the board as the ground game was relentless.

Defensively, the team was solid, with players following Coach Vic’s instructions to maintain shape and restrict the opponents’ chances. A slew of turnovers ruin any chances for Air Force to get going 3 interceptions and 2 fumbles 3 of those turnovers forced by Jordan Cobbs. The ground game head up by the two headed monster of chalk and bates gained over 200 yards and 4 tds. The passing game was not needed much as Walker Eget threw for 122 and only threw 16 passes.

The win highlighted Coach Vic’s ability to adapt and make in-game adjustments, such as substitutions and tactical tweaks. Fans were particularly impressed with the energy and confidence the team displayed under his leadership, hinting at a bright future ahead, Next up the Spartans take on the other Falcons of Bowling Green.
