In their conference and home opener, the Army Black Knights got in a shootout with the FAU Owls, winding up winning after a 9 yard TD run from Robinson that left less than a minute left.

"There were mistakes," remarked Coach Meep, "But we played a complete game. All elements: running, passing, defense, and special teams. Once we clean up our turnovers, we will be a team to be reckoned with."
Army has a bye week in Week 3 then play at Rice for Week 4.
4th quarter
Stewart 4yd TD run 27-24 Army
78yd FR Tisdal 31-27 FAU
Robinson 9yd TD run 34-31 Army
What a game. FAU in control the entire first half. Army cuts it to 17-10 at the half with a great two minute drill. FAU had no answer for the Army option in the 2h. I won’t lie we tried it all. Tip of a cap. However Army driving in the 4th under two minutes to play they fumbled. Tisdal recovered it and went 78yds for the score. Army would drive down and the play that was the difference was a 4th and 7. Army was able to convert on a pass over the middle that I thought I intercepted.
GG Army. GL the rest of the way.
