In his first game back as coach of Tulsa, Coach Marion County's Tulsa Golden Hurricane came up just a bit short in a back-and-forth shootout at the New Mexico. New Mexico hit a last second FG to chalk up a W after going up 14-0 early in the first quarter.
Despite multiple 3rd and longs, the Tulsa defense could not get off the field. The New Mexico QB lit up the Tulsa secondary for over 400 yards with a backbreaking TD at the end of the first half causing the Golden Hurricane offense to play catch up.
Kamdyn Benjamin had 4 total TDs (1 rushing, 3 receiving) and the Golden Hurricane offense looked overall great but there will be many reps in practice for the cupcake defense.
