OSU survived an early offensive onslaught from Ball State. The Cardinals came out firing with a fast-paced screen and misdirection offense that put the Buckeyes on their heals a bit. The two teams matched blows early, but OSU was able to take control in the 2nd quarter and then held the Cardinals at bay.
The OSU defense got a few huge stops and finally forced a few turnovers as the Cardinals began to tire out.
Offensively, QB Will Howard was efficient going 13-17 for 201, 2 TD's, 1 INT, and 9 carries for 14 yards with 1 TD
Quinshon Judkins rushed 12 times for 111 yards and 1 TD, catching 2 passes for 23 yards.
Defensively, SS Lathan Ransom was all over the place collecting 9 tackles and 1 TFL.
The Ohio State defense proved too strong, forcing 2 key turnovers in a 35-21 Victory over Ball State. Both teams got off to a fast start, scoring 14 pts in the 1st quarter. A 4th down stop, as well as a takeawayin the 2nd quarter turned the tide for OSU. Will Howard threw for 200 yards and Judkins ran for over 100. Quarterback Kiael Kelly threw for 385 yards and 2 TDS, but had 2 INTs. Christian Davis had a solid day receiving accumulating 124 yds.
