On NCSU's senior night and probably the last game before they fire Coach ICE, the Pack went out and fought hard. Towards the end of the 1st, Jordan Waters scored from 2 yards out and then Devan Boykin got a pick 6 as the quarter expired to give the home team a 14-0 lead. In the second quarter Ole Miss went to work scoring on 3 straight drives with passes from Jaxson Dart to take a 21-14 lead, however, with 38 seconds left to go in the half, Devan Boykin picked off Jaxson Dart again and returned it to tie the game at 21-21 going into the second half. In the second half, NC State struggled offensively and was only able to connect on a 3rd and 20 deep bomb to KC Concepion from 66 yards out, however Ole Miss would attempt to tie it up with 5:58 left in the game, but the XP went wide left. Both teams would have the ball multiple times to end the quarter, but neither could muster any points and after picking up a couple first downs late in the game, Grayson McCall took 2 knees to end the season for the Pack and most likely Coach ICE's time in Raleigh.
