Air Force Falcons Struggle VS Florida A

The Air Force Falcons faced off against the Florida Atlantic Owls in a challenging game that ended in a 34-21 defeat. Despite some bright moments, the Falcons couldn’t overcome the Owls balanced attack.

First Half: Defensive Battle
The first quarter was a defensive standoff, with neither team managing to score. However, the Owls broke the deadlock in the second quarter, scoring 20 points while the Falcons managed to respond with a single touchdown, heading into halftime down 20-7.

Second Half: Falcons Fight Back, But It’s Not Enough
In the third quarter, both teams traded touchdowns, but the Falcons still trailed 27-14. Air Forces offense, led by quarterback John Busha, tried to mount a comeback, with Busha completing 13 of 18 passes for 233 yards and a touchdown. However, his two interceptions proved costly. The Owls sealed the game with another touchdown in the fourth quarter, while the Falcons only managed one more score, ending the game at 34-21.

Offensive Struggles and Defensive Grit
The Falcons offense struggled to find a consistent rhythm. Busha also contributed in the ground game with 55 rushing yards, while Dylan Carson and Aiden Calvert each added rushing touchdowns. Calvert also led the receiving corps with 63 yards on three catches.

Defensively, Jake Martin was a standout with 11 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and a sack. Despite the strong individual performances, the defense couldn’t contain the Owls potent offense, which amassed 481 total yards.
