Memphis traveled to Jonesboro tonight hoping to get back on track . The Tigers were sloppy at times but were able to execute when they needed it and left with a 43-28 win.

The Arkansas State football team looked good in all parts of the team (offense, defense, & special teams), but there was no consistency. The offense only had one good drive, but they couldn't get the yards they needed during critical times. The defense caused 4 turnovers, but could not stop Memphis on 3rd down numerous times. Special teams had a kickoff return for a touchdown, but a 22 yard punt set up Memphis with a short field. This resulted in a 43-28 loss (down 33-28 with 6 minutes left in the game).
Coach Quest stated after the game, "We need to run our offense better, we need to have faith in the option, and you better ready to see more of it!"
