Running back Brandon Chatman put on a show at the Army-Navy game as he accounted for 299 total yards (257 rushing, 42 receiving respectfully) and 4 touchdown against the rival Black Knights.
In a game that saw the Army offense use large chunks of possession time on multiple scoring drives, the Navy offense used explosive plays, and an opportunistic defense and built a cushion off a big 21 point second quarter to secure a 42-28 victory.
Coach Code said, "Army's offense was very efficient and made us work to get anything we could. I appreciate his patience in grinding it out against us and changing up his attack."
Running the ball was key in this years matchup of the annual Army-Navy game. Racking almost 800 yards between the two teams. Robinson continues to try and cement himself as the nations leading rusher with yet another 150+ yard game. Doenst seem like any team this year can stop him. Unfortunately, Navy also had a great ground attack and Army had no answers. Long time consuming drives that ended with turnovers and not points was Army's downfall today. While Navy used the ground game and quick strikes to put the game away early.
Army's coach after the game had this to say, "We thought we had a good run defense, but those boys on the other side had other plans. Hats off to them. Played a great game."
