In the final game of the season, the Warhawks lost 42-31 due to two costly interceptions that were returned for touchdowns. Hunter Smith did all he could to try to lead his team to victory, but it just was not enough. Hunter did break the 1000 yard rushing mark for the year, though. "This was a tough defeat. We would have liked to have ended the season on a positive note, but we could not. Our fans deserved better and we were not up to the task," replied Hunter Herring. Coach Taruncheel commented on the teams 3-9 season. "This was brutal. We turned the ball over way too ofter and could not stop teams on defense. There will be plenty of work to do during the offseason."
Louisiana wins the Battle on the Bayou 42-31. It was a tough battle through 3 quarters, but two pick sixes put Louisiana ahead in the end. Louisiana had play makers all over the field making big play after big play Louisiana has one game left this season against Troy. They hope to finish out with one more win to finish 3-5 in conference play.
