Memphis improved to 10-2 (8-0) with a 50-21 win over Tulane evening.
The Tigers were hitting on all cylinders tonight, racking up 543 total yards of offense and forcing 6 turnovers by the defense.
Memphis will now focus in on next weeks AAC Championship game with a an outside shot at making the CFP if they are fortunate enough to win.
"Proud of the boys" said Coach Red afterwards. " We challenged ourselves with a tough non conference schedule and that prepared us for conference play. We don't know who we will play , but trust me we will be ready"
GG Doc, i have always enjoyed our battles win or lose, tonight was just my night
Down 21-26 at the half Tulane looked good couple mistakes allowed Memphis the lead but looked confident. The 2nd half came and we are still looking for Tulane. Has anyone seen them? The kids parents are getting worried.
Makhi Hughes continues to be the bright spot for Tulane. He had 136 all purpose yards and a TD. The defense was a non factor in the 2nd half allowing 24 points but Jesus Machado continues to shine for the defense adding in 8 tackles and 2 TFL.
It was a disappointing end to a disappointing season. We will see what the fate is for the coach and will he be back or be done. Only time will tell.
