ULM went to Jonesboro, Arkansas, looking for a victory and came out on top. This was their first conference win of the season and brings their overall record to 3-8 with 1 game remaining. The first quarter saw no scoring and both teams playing the field possession game. In the 2nd quarter, ULM was able to get 2 rushing touchdowns from Smith and a FG to take a 17-7 lead at the half. The third quarter was another defensive battle with only 3 pts scored by Arkansas St to cut the lead to 17-10. ULM kicked a FG early in the 4th to take a 20-10 lead and added a 51 yd rushing TD by Smith to push the lead to 27-10. Arkansas State moved down the field, but threw an interception in the end zone. ULM then ran out the clock to secure the victory. Coach Taruncheel was quoted saying, "Our boys came to play tonight and we are fortunate to come out with a victory. We limited ourselves to only 1 turnover and forced 3. That is a winning recipe. Normally we are on the other end of the turnover game. Hats off to a tough Arkansas State team. They played well and called a great game."

The Arkansas State Red Wolves looked like they were back in summer camp as they were inconsistent the whole game losing 27-10 to the Louisiana Munroe Warhawks.
The Wolves put two drives together to get 10 points, but could not overcome the lead down 17-10 after three.
Being down practically the whole game took the ball away from their best player as Jac'quez Cross had only 8 carries for 34 yards. 2nd string halfback Zak Wallace added 43 yards on 5 carries. We all know quarterback Jaylen Raynor is hot and cold, but it doesn't help when the receiving corps drop 6 passes in crucial moments of the game.
This results in a 27-10 loss.
