Texas visited Arkansas with hopes to maintain bowl hopes despite a disappointing season and were shut down, led by a high powered Arkansas Offense.
The Razorbacks took an early 14-0 lead and looked to be en route to a blowout at home as Texas struggled to get going and Arkansas QB Taylen green connected on a pair of 1st half td's.
Texas finally got things going with a 48-yard TD by CJ Baxter, followed by an Arkansas FG making it 17-7 at half. In the second half, fireworks were in order, especially as the teams' traded blows and combined on 42 points in the 4th quarter.
In the 4th Texas scored on an 80-yard td run by CJ Baxter, a int return by Jahdae Barron and a 100-yard kick return by Matthew Golden.
Unfortunately for the Horns, the Hogs reciprocated on long drives which included a drive capped by a Ja'Quinden Jackson for 3-yard Run for A td making it 40-36.
Quinn Ewers followed with a INT which ended the game.
Coach Z was very complimentary of Coach BigStimpin after the game ...
"We lost, and we deserved the result. That team is well coached and outplayed us throughout the day. We had some big plays and breaks go our way - which was needed for a chance on the road, in the end it wasnt enough. We tip our cap to the Hogs and Coach BigStimpin."
