The Navy Offense exploded for 617 total yards and 8 Touchdown in their second win of the year against a tough Tulane Green Wave team in Annapolis. Paced by RB Brandon Chatham putting in a work horse effort as he led the midshipmen in both rushing and receiving yards with 16 rushes/165yds/1 TD, and 5 rec/102 yds/ 2TDs respectfully. Unsurprisingly, the ground game was the catalyst for the night as the Mids piled up 460 yards off 42 rushes and 6 touchdowns.
Coach Code summed it up the night, "besides one fumble, that may have been the most complete game we're ever gonna play all year, it truly was magical today. Between the defense getting pressure on 3 sacks, 3 interceptions and 8 offensive touchdowns, i'm not sure we can do much better, especially in the 3rd quarter when we were on the ropes against Tulane. Good game coach, and on to ARMY!"
Navy dropped all the artillery they could on Tulane and there was nothing the Green Wave could do. Navy running game was electric and the holes were everywhere. Tulane had no answers to the midshipmen's offense.
Makhi Hughes continued the hot hand for Tulane Rushing for 105yds and receiving another 110yds. That still wasn't enough for the Wave to evn dent the middy's
This season is getting longer and longer by the day.
