Illinois fell 35-28 to Michigan State in their last home game of the season. The Spartans raced out to a 21-0 lead, and the Illini could never recover. Illinois made a late push to make the score closer than the game actually was. The Illini continued to struggle on the defensive side of the ball.
The lone bright spot for Illinois was new WR Zakhari Franklin, acquired in the latest EA patch. Franklin had 7 catches for 125 yards and 3 TDs.
Illinois falls to 4-6 and has two road games left to finish the season.
GG Korben!
Sparty put it all together today. Lead by Carter on offense who had 141 yards and 1 Td on the ground and adding 16 yards and another TD receiving he really set the tone.
The Defense showed up in a big way lead by Tatum with 2 interceptions. The biggest play on D was a 101 yard pick six on are own goaline.
Sparty survived a late push by Illinois who forced a Punt, got a interception, and recovered an onside kick in the Fourth quarter to make it a game.
Great Game UF! And good luck the rest of the season!
Sparty will try to get to their win total of 3.5 in the next block. Sparty has to take on Mr. SpolierMaker himself and a very solid Rutgers team.
GO Green, GO White!
