Drewwbacca clinics how to throw a game

Article By: Drewwbacca

Wanna know how to throw a game?

1) Pick 6 from the 1 yard line, with 2 seconds to go in the first half...
1a) Take the points!!!!

2) Be a basket case... when you screw up, ya cannot get in your own head.
2a) Stick to your gameplan!!!!!!

Maryland continues to show signs of life and give better teams a challenge, but whether that lasts for 1, 2 or 3 quarters, it never lasts for 4....!! Kaden Prather had 118 yards on 6 catches, continuing to be the best perimeter threat for the Terps. Dante Trader picked up his 5th INT of the season and 3rd defensive TD.

While Maryland can point to the positives of the season, like hitting their win goal, and being competitive more often than not, there is much work to be done for Drewwbacca and the Terps.

Not to be lost in this game, is that Drewwbacca sees Rutgers as a real challenge to anyone in the B1G, outside of Ohio State. Geaux, has a knack for running the ball, and even with a less talented roster on paper, he's going to catch someone looking ahead to a more formidable opponent.

Rutgers Rolls against Maryland

Article By: geauxcapper

In a game that was much closer than the final score suggests, Rutgers defeated Maryland 42-21, thanks in part to a stunning defensive play and Maryland’s inability to stick to its early-game success.

Maryland came out firing, dominating the first quarter with a balanced attack that put Rutgers on its heels. After jumping out to an early lead, Maryland appeared to be in full control and looked poised to extend their advantage. However, a crucial moment swung the momentum entirely—Maryland, deep in the red zone and just one yard away from a touchdown, threw a costly interception. Rutgers’ cornerback stepped in front of the pass and raced 99 yards for a pick-six, tying the game and deflating Maryland’s offense.

Following that play, Maryland seemed to drift from the gameplan that had been working. Their once-effective running game was abandoned in favor of risky pass plays, leading to more mistakes and missed opportunities. Meanwhile, Rutgers capitalized on those mistakes, scoring touchdowns on short fields after multiple turnovers.

While the Scarlet Knights pulled away late in the game, the 42-21 final score doesn't fully capture how tight the contest was for much of the night. Maryland’s inability to stay disciplined, along with Rutgers’ big defensive plays, made the difference in a game that was much more competitive than the scoreboard showed.
