Seattle, WA – UCLA made a powerful statement on the road with a 30-21 triumph over Washington, showcasing a potent offensive performance spearheaded by quarterback Garbers. The win not only highlights UCLA's ability to compete on the national stage but also marks a significant achievement in their season.
Coach Berokoff- was a blast playing a long time NDL friend in Doodee, bringing back a friendship from a long time ago! He is one of the all time best dudes in the league! Also, with no car and the house gone, my wife has moved back to Oklahoma, so I was able to finally concentrate on the team, we played well finally.
The Washington Huskies started their weekend with promise, but it turned sour in the fourth quarter as they allowed 23 points in the fourth quarter to a Bruins team that didn't give up.
"Well, two more pick sixes for Rogers," said Coach Doodee. "Both in the fourth quarter. Maybe one day he'll learn never to throw hook routes."
The game started with two Rogers TD passes to GIles Jackson and Jeremiah Hunter, but was answered with an 80 yard TD pass from UCLA's Ethan Garbers. Both QBs had flashes, but the big difference: Rogers threw 3 INTs, Garbers threw 0.
"It's always a pleasure to be on the opposite sideline as Coach Berokoff, but we're disappointed in the loss. We're looking forward to our matchup with Oregon," said the Coach. "Then I can start looking for another job."
Great game and chat, Mark. Look forward to playing again someday!
