The Marshall Thundering Herd come out sluggish today and they set new season record for drops. The Herd lose 42-14. They turned the ball over way too much today, couldn't tackle, and dropped the ball way too many times on offense. Ultimately, it just wasn't the Herd's day today. Gotta have the Herd Mentality next time we come out. Onto the next!
Sometimes you just have things clicking and today was one of them for the Golden Eagles.
USM came into the game using their backup qb for the 2nd straight game and this time he was excellent. John White completed all but one of his passes for 186 yards and 2 tds.
The rushing attack put up nearly 200 yards on the ground and the defense chipped in with 3 takeaways.
"It felt like we were getting all the breaks today and we needed to capitalize on those breaks vs a talented coach and good Marshall team." said Riccio.
