Article By: What seems to be the script for every Utah St game this season, stayed true to form today. The Aggies jumped out to a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter, and then did everything in their power to slowly give it away.
Utah St started the turnover party early, but thankfully Wazzu RSVP'd about brought plenty of their own to help keep the Aggies alive. After letting the lead slip through their hands with under 2 minutes to play, Utah St came up huge with an interception in their own redzone.
Petras took that opportunity and patiently guided his team down the field as he nickled and dimed his team into field goal range, where senior kcier, Elliott Nimrod, did the rest of the heavy lifting and laced a game winning 40 yard field goal as time expired.
7 wins was not on the table for those that follow Utah St football closely, yet here they are, and with a chance to make it 8 as they await their regular season finale with the Aztecs who San Diego State, who come into Logan with a 6-3 (2-2) record and also hoping to finish their season on a high note before entering bowl season.
