Jonah Coleman shedding a Trojan defender

Huskies Take a Close One vs. USC, 42-36

Article By: Doodee

The University of Washington Huskies prevailed against old Pac 10, now Big 10 rival USC on Saturday morning after the game was postponed twice due to a yellow jacket infestation in the opponents locker room.

The game was a tight contest to start, as both teams traded touchdowns (Zachariah Branch for USC, Jonah Coleman for UW) on their opening drives. The Huskies struggled to find an answer all game for Trojan wideout Zachariah Branch, as he had 11 receptions for 204 yards plus a 104 yard kick return for a touchdown.

After a second branch receiving touchdown and a Woody Marks TD run, the Huskies found themselves down 21-7. However they were able to mount a drive culminating in a 3 yard run from Coleman again to get within one score by halftime.

The second half opened with traded punts, then Washington tied the game on a Daniyel Ngata touchdown run. Then it got crazy for a couple minutes - UW would return an interception for a touchdown, then Branch returned the ensuing kickoff for a TD, and then Will Rogers found Denzel Boston caught a 74 yard touchdown pass to give the Huskies a 35-28 lead. After a Miller Moss pick six thrown to Tristan Dunn, the lead would be extended to 42-28 and too much for USC to overcome.

On a side note, the game was postponed twice due to a yellow jacket infestation in the visitor's locker room.

"I feel bad for Coach 5thlinemason, said Coach Doodee "It's hard for your team to prepare when you're swatting yellow jackets." Asked why the infestation was only in the visitor's room, Doodee swiftly left the podium.

Washington Prevails Over USC

Article By: The_5thLineMason

In a high-scoring battle, Washington emerged victorious 42-36 against USC. Will Rogers dazzled with 191 passing yards and 3 touchdowns, while Jonah Coleman rushed for 108 yards and 2 scores. Denzel Boston added a big play with a 92-yard touchdown reception. USC’s Miller Moss threw for 314 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Zachariah Branch contributed significantly with 201 receiving yards and a kickoff return touchdown. Despite USC’s efforts, Washington’s potent offense and timely defense plays, including a key interception and solid kicking from Grady Gross, secured the win. A special thanks to Coach Doodee for rescheduling due to the suspicious yellow jacket appearance in the Washington visitors room. The NCAA will step in to investigate.
