This time they would miss a FG. 5 plays later, Eastern Michigan was in the end zone up 21-0 on an excellent lead pass from Cole Snyder to Oran Singleton. The Eagles kept hitting hard, forcing fumbles and maintaining their lead to 21-6 at halftime
Toledo would ride Jacquez Stuart to a 21-13 deficit, but Eastern Michigan continued to make plays on offense, averaging almost 5 yards a carry. Snyder put the exclamation point on the upset with a beautiful back shoulder ball to Isaac Smith for a 28-13 lead. Toledo kept up their fight but the clock was against them. Up 31-26, EMU successfully recovered the onside kick and got the crucial first down to secure the upset
