Ineptness Continues

Article By: Wasted Memory

In a close and competitive matchup, Kennesaw State narrowly defeated Western Kentucky 28-23. The game featured a tight battle on both sides of the ball, with WKU edging out in total offense with 311 yards compared to Kennesaw States 306. Both teams were effective in their rushing and passing games, but Kennesaw State's defense was pivotal, forcing four turnovers while only committing three.

Kennesaw State dominated on special teams with 20 punt return yards and a decisive 76 kick return yards. Western Kentucky, conversely, was held without kick return yards and only managed 20 yards on punt returns. The game saw a clean sheet in penalties, with neither team being flagged.

Kennesaw State maintained a solid third-down conversion rate at 5-9, while Western Kentucky was slightly better at 7-13.
The game looked to be all Kennesaw States until late in the 4th when WKU was able to drive down the field trailing 28-21. Kennesaw would intercept the ball in the end zone to seemingly end the game but the defender stepped out of the end zone and was talked at the one. The ensuing play saw the WKU defense earn a safety and the free kick. They quickly threw their 4th INT of the game though to end any suspense.

Owls finally break through

Article By: ssi7698

The Owls finally get one in the win column today against a tough Western Kentucky team tonight. The Owls finally looked like a football team especially in the 2nd quarter as they took a solid lead into the half. So much credit to WKU as they fought back and lead to a crazy finish. The Owls were up 7 late in the game with WKU driving. The Owls would get a pick in the end zone but for some reason decided to return it out to the 1 inch line with about 30 seconds left. WKU would get a safety to cut the lead to 5 but the Owls defense would come up huge with a game clinching INT with 7 seconds left. GG and good luck the rest of the way!
