A tale of 2 red zones. Maryland put in 3 RZ TD's versus Minnesota who had to settle for 3 field goals instead. That there, is the entire difference in this game.
The turnover battle always tells a tale as well. Maryland was able to come up with 3 INT's, 1 of those a house call by Reuben Hyppolite and limited their own mistakes to a single terrible pitch by QB Billy Edwards, for their 1 T.O. a fumble.
Speaking of Edwards, today he entered the NCAA record books. Edwards went 21-21 on the day, for the first ever 100% completion percentage in NCAA history, surpassing Greyson Lambert of UGA(2015).
Terps have managed to hit their win goal on the season, winning 4 games coach Drewwbacca pointed to on the schedule at the beginning of the year. With some stiff tests coming up against the likes of PSU and Oregon, the road is not easy.
All in all, a great victory for Drewwbacca, a complete team effort, and hitting the win goal in his first NDL season is considered a job well done.
