Memphis improved to 6-2 (4-0) with a comeback win over the 49ers.
The Tigers got off to a horrible start in this one and found themselves down 14-3 after the 1st quarter. The Tigers would then lean on their running game which led to some easier reads for QB Seth Henigan.
The 49ers Special Teams kept the Tigers at bay with 2 house calls vs Memphis
After a brilliant user strip by the 49ers the game looked to be over. But Memphis would get a stop on 4th down giving the Tigers a chance to win the game. The Tigers calmy marched 90 yards and took the lead.
A power surge on Charlottes side would send both teams back to the locker room. A few minutes later the teams were able to continue the game. The 49ers tried a deep one over the middle but was picked off by SS Marsh to end the game.
"We were very fortunate tonight" said Coach Red afterwards ." Charlotte is a very dangerous team and played one helluva game"
