Syracuse just too much for Pitt to handle

Pitt tries to make a comeback, but...

Syracuse got off to a hot start in this game. Up 28-7 at the half.
The 3rd quarter, Pitt's offense finally woke up as they scored 21 points to Syracuse's 7.
Syracuse up 35-28 and Pitt gets a fumble in the 3rd quarter and their offense fizzles as they throw a pick and Syracuse gets the ball back and then drives down and scores in the 4th.

Pitt Coach Niddler, "We had them sweating late in the 3rd and I am proud of this team for never giving up!
Being down big at the half, instead of lying down and moping about it, Senior HB Rodney Hammond Jr. riled up this team and got them to come out on fire to start the second half.
We made it close and I am extremely happy with the outcome. I know some will look at it and think that we lost by 14, what is there to be excited about, but coming back and being down by 1 score late in the 3rd and driving and having a chance to tie it, it gives us something to build off of going forward!"

Great game played by TexaNole and good luck to him and his Syracuse organization the rest of the season!

The juice was worth the squeeze

After a tumultuous week of changes, Coach TexaNole's team came out firing on all cylinders. Following a significant shake-up in the coaching staff, the newly appointed defensive coordinator unveiled an aggressive defensive scheme that had the players relentlessly attacking the ball. This strategy paid off handsomely as the defense hauled in four interceptions, showcasing their ball-hawking skills. Despite giving up 322 passing yards, they managed to limit the opposing team, the Orangemen, to just one touchdown, demonstrating a solid bend-but-don't-break approach.

On the offensive side, the new offensive coordinator brought a fresh approach with the flexbone offense, which kept the defense guessing with a variety of play calls. The innovative strategy, mixing the run and pass effectively, proved difficult for Coach Niddler and the Pitt Panthers to handle. This creative and dynamic play-calling was instrumental in the team's much-needed bounce-back win.

Congratulations to Coach TexaNole on this significant victory! It was a much-needed morale boost and an excellent start to what could be a successful new chapter for the team. Best of luck on your journey, Coach, and if things continue to progress this way, I'll see you in New York next year!
