LSU Shuts Out Rebels in Magnolia Bowl

LSU took on Ole Miss this past Saturday for the 113th meeting of the Magnolia Bowl dating back all the way to 1894. LSU came out firing on all cylinders putting up 28 points in the 1st Quarter thanks to two TDs from QB Nussmeier to TE Taylor and WR Daniels as well as 2 TDs on the ground for RB Williams. Nussmeier threw another TD in the 2nd to RB Jackson and then the stellar Tiger Defense took control of the game. The Fighting Tiger Defense caused 8 turnovers in the game with both Safeties Burns and Gilbert nabbing 2 INTs each. They limited the talented Rebel offense to only 200 yds in the air and 59 on the ground while pitching the shutout.

The Tigers defend Death Valley once again and look ahead to their next matchup at Arkansas next week.

The rivalry series is now up to 64-42-4 in favor of LSU.
