UGA take tough first loss
Article By: With a great start to the season bumps in the road are to be expected. UGA suffered a tough loss at home to Miss St. The visitors came out with a plan and were ready to execute it. The Bulldogs did not look like their usual selves and it showed. Defenders not being where they needed to be, missed timing on picks which resulted in big plays or TDs and slow decision making on the offensive side of the ball resulting in inconsistency with moving the ball and turnovers. "This is only one loss, it's not the end of the season. We came out the gate not prepare to play and it showed. As the coach I will say that I wasn't mentally ready for the game and didn't prepare prior to playing and it showed in this one. Rest assure this will not happen again. We will keep to our normal regimen and ensure we are ready to hit the field when its time" said Coach Cane after the game.
It was a dog fight in AthensMiss St stuns Georgia in Athens
Article By: Mississippi State traveled to Athens after their bye week with a lot of question, how good is this team really? Can they remain focused after the big win @ Texas? Can they hold up upfront against a physical Georgia team? I think they answered all those questions an more, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 17-3 lead that they would take into halftime an never look back.
QB Blake Shapen continues his impressive SR season throwing for 370 yards an 3 TD's. JR Wideout Coby McCollum would haul in 2 of those TD's to go along with 143 yards which is a career high for McCollum. The defense would do their part in forcing Carson Beck into 3 INT's, SR DB Issac Smith getting the last to help seal the win. Bulldogs look to continue their success as they return home to take on Texas A&M
