Defense gave up big plays and Van Dyke found a way to throw the game away again....Chez Mellusi led the Badgers in rushing with 77 yards and Bryson Green led the team in receiving with 112 yards on 3 catches. TE Riley Nowakowski contributed with 101 yards on 7 catches. Coach Wave spoke with the reporters after the game saying, "We will get better on both sides of the football". "Just got to trust the Process"!
Boilermakers Snap Losing Streak
Article By: The Boilermakers came out victorious, defeating the Wisconsin Badgers 41-24.
The Boilermakers were able to start out with the lead, scoring on their opening drive with a touchdown on a 42 yard touchdown pass to Jhamal Edrine. The Boilermaker didn't trail the entire game. The defining play of the game came from corner back Antonio Stevens, who was able to score a pick 6 with time expiring before halftime.
Hudson Card was efficient on the day, going 19/24 with 229 yards, however, with one ill advised throw that turned into a pick 6. Devin Mockobee continued to be a workhorse, running the ball 23 times for 126 yards and a score. Backup running back Reggie Love almost hit 100 on the day, mainly gained from a 75 yard rush in the second quarter.
The Boilermakers defense were able to come up big, forcing multiple turnovers and limiting the opposition to under 100 yards rushing, the first time they were able to accomplish this feat this season.
