#18 Nebraska 49 Rutgers 28

Article By: Spyder_XT

Nebrask rushing offense remains on fire, with Rahmir Johnson delivering another standout performance of 19 carries for 155 yards and 3 touchdowns. The game was evenly matched until late in the second quarter when Johnson dashed for a 62-yard run, putting Nebraska ahead by 7 points with just 1:20 remaining.

Rutgers aggressive play backfired when Buford Jr. intercepted a pass and returned it for 55 yards, setting up Nebraska for a 12-yard touchdown pass to Loyd with only 6 seconds left. This pivotal play extended Nebraska to 14 points at halftime, and with the second-half kickoff, they widened the gap to a 21-point cushion.

The team then focused on their dominate running game, adopting a secure style of play that forced Rutgers to contend with a resilient defense that bend but dont break, consuming time and preventing any significant plays.

With a record of 5-1, Nebraska heads into a bye week, providing a well-deserved opportunity for rest and recovery.

Defensive Struggles Doom Rutgers

Article By: geauxcapper

Rutgers fell short in a 49-28 defeat to Nebraska in Lincoln, as costly turnovers and struggles to contain the Cornhuskers' vertical passing game proved to be too much to overcome. The Scarlet Knights' inability to protect the ball and stop big plays downfield ultimately sealed their fate in this Big Ten clash.

Rutgers turned the ball over four times, including three interceptions, which handed Nebraska prime field position and thwarted the Scarlet Knights' offensive momentum. Despite a strong effort from the defense early on, the constant pressure from turnovers wore them down.
