A rare turnover-free day by the Golden Hurricane offense has Tulsa and Coach County sitting 2-0 in AAC play with an upcoming Week 7 bye week.
Cardell Williams had his best day of the year throwing for 4 TDs and no interceptions. RB Anthony Watkins is setting a precedent for 100-yard games as he continues his steady display and WR Jeremiah Ballard had 2 TDs on only 2 catches. Kayden Benjamin had his quietest game of the year as his services weren't needed for this particular contest. However, he still caught a TD on a nice angle route in the 2nd quarter.
Braylin Pressley is making a name for himself this year unexpectedly. The diminutive speedster took a punt return for a house call for his first career return TD and added another via reception.
The defense gave up a lot of yards once again which is becoming the norm in Tulsa. When asked about his team and their constant defensive struggles, even against a running team like Army, the coach responded, they don't ask me how I won, they ask me if I won. A silly response from a coach with the best offense in the country but one of the worst defenses in the country.
A bye week looms in week 7 with conference favorite Temple the next opponent in Week 8 in a game that looks to be a barn burner in AAC play.
As the dreadful season continues for Army, another loss was taken. The Tulsa offense proved to be too much for Army as they threw the rock where ever they wanted. The Army defense had no answer the the elite passing attack. But, once again, the bright spot here is Robinson as he continues to make his case for one of the best backs in the nation.
