The two-headed ground monster of RBs Brandon Chatham and Eli Heidenreich each had 169 yards and 2 TDs a piece to lead the Navy Midshipmen to their first win of the season against the Blazers of UAB 45-21. Along with 4 interceptions by an opportunistic defense gave the Mids more than enough chances for the offense to capitalize. great game coach, good luck this year.
UAB was not ready for the ground assault of Navy. They ran often and for a long ways. UAB got down early and had to pass to try and catch up, 4 ints later the game was out of reach. Good 1st win to Navy.
