You normally get pumped in a rivalry game but this had a different feel when the second quarter started. The Aggies trailed 7-3 after the first quarter but then decided to jump into the deep end but the pool was only two inches thick. A 28-7 second quarter doomed the Aggies as they trailed 35-10 at the break. NM would go on to win the second half 17-14 for the 52-24 butt-kicking.
