Rutgers kicked off conference play with a resounding victory over the University of Washington. In a dominant performance, the Scarlet Knights showcased their offensive firepower and defensive tenacity, leaving no doubt about their ability to compete at the highest level. The Rutgers defense had six interception and a sack forced fumble. The Scarlet Knights made the Washington quarterback's life miserable all game.
This impressive win has sent shockwaves through the conference, as other teams are now forced to acknowledge Rutgers as a legitimate contender. With momentum on their side, the Scarlet Knights look poised to make a significant impact in the conference this season.
Another day, another 5+ interceptions for Will Rogers at the University of Washington.
Coach Doodee seemed a little inebriated at his press conference, as he said "Man, we're just throwing the ball all over the place and guys are making tremendous plays. But hey, we kicked our first field goal, and Jonah Coleman ran for almost 200 yards!"
The game was as close as 34-24 in the fourth quarter with the Huskies driving, but two consecutive pick six drives stretched the final score out to 48-24.
"We actually improved if you can believe it," said the coach. "I just feel bad Will didn't get a TD pass with all those picks."
Next the Huskies will face a Michigan juggernaut. The over/under for Rogers INTs is 4.
