Battle of the Brothers Doesn’t Disappoint

Utah St Shocks and Awes

Article By: Clevenole

As Coach Garvin jogged into the tunnel of Maverik Stadium following today’s upset, NDL sideline reporters were able to get a few words from the coach who was noticeably holding back tears, “First off, helluva game to Coach Dakshdar and his Utes. Those boys deserve a ton of respect, they played their assess off. Can’t say that was fun. I was sweating bullets the whole game. I knew our boys were ready and it all was on me and our staff to put them in the right positions so they can succeed. I am so thankful to our staff, these young men, and Aggie Nation. These fans had this stadium rocking from kickoff. I’ll never forget this moment!”. Coach Garvin faded into the shadows of the stadium with his fist held high and singing the Utah St fight song at the top of his lungs.

Transfer QB, Spencer Petras, put on display his leadership and patience as he navigated the Utah St offense on a 5 minute game winning drive in the fourth quarter, which was followed up by a stifling defense that forced Cam Rising and the Utes to turnover the ball on downs and seal the victory in The Battle of the Brothers.

Today’s game was a sight for sore eyes for many in Aggie Nation. After an abysmal showing against Boston College, many were weary of Petras and what may unfold as the season progressed. But Petras was able to block out the noise and rely on his stud RB, Rahsul Faison, who shouldered most of the Aggie offense throughout the game and rushed for 142 yards on 26 attempts.

As spirits fly high and non-alcoholic beverages flowed throughout the postgame tailgates in the parking lots, Coach Garvin had a message for his team. “Tonight we soak in this feeling, but tomorrow awaits us another fight. Another opportunity to show the nation who we are and what Aggie football is. Boise St awaits us, and we’ll be ready!”.

Utes Drop Rivalry Game in a Close One

Article By: Dakshdar

In a dramatic reversal of fortunes, Utah fell 27-24 to Utah State after leading 14-7 early in their heated rivalry game. The Utes, initially dominant with a powerful offensive display and a solid defense, seemed poised for victory as they built their early lead. However, as the game progressed, the Aggies mounted a relentless comeback, exploiting gaps in Utah’s defense and capitalizing on critical turnovers. A decisive late touchdown in the final moments tipped the scales in favor of Utah State, leaving the Utes and their fans stunned as they grappled with the sting of a hard-fought defeat.
