In a game that looked like it was going to be a close one right when it started temple started with a long 70 yard touchdown from their starting runningback taking it in recieving the football. Navy was able to put 7 on the board, ON DEFENSE with a pick six, jumping the bubble screen on the right shaking up Forrest Brock. and taking it to the Crib. Temple was then able to put up 27 unanswered point giving them a huge cusion to start taking chunks out of the time remaining in the game. After a logn drive after the second half from temple, Navy was able to take a kickoff back for 6 and go on a small run to put 21 point up in the second half compared to temples 10. It was too little too late for Navy and Temple was able to come out on top 41-28 and moving on to 2-0 on the season while Navy is 0-2.
The Navy Midshipmen suffered their second loss at home to begin the season as they dropped a 41-28 decision to the Temple Owls. Although the Defense started the game with a pick-6 by Senior Linebacker, Captain Jon Ramos, the offense couldn't keep the momentum rolling for the Mids as turnovers again came back to hurt them, resulting in 2 ints and 3 fumbles lost. The other bright spot for Navy was a 103 yd kickoff return by WR Matt Byrum. If the Mids can cut back the turnovers, the future looks bright for the brand new year.
