Clemson, SC - The Clemson TIgers and Syracuse Orange hooked up for a Week 6 game that ended with Clemson prevailing 13-10.
It was a defensive struggle the entire game for both teams. Both QB's would throw 3 picks to only 1 TD on the day. Clemson's FG kicker would struggle as well going 2 for 4 and missing a 23 yarder.
Syracuse took the early lead in the 2nd quarter on a FG and would carry that lead into the half. In the 3rd quarter Clemson would get on the board with an 8 yard TD pass but neither team would score again in the 3rd. The 4th quarter would see Clemson kick a short FG to take a 10-3 lead after an INT was returned to the 5 yard line. Syracuse would even the score out shortly later when their QB would hit a WR for the score.
Tied 10-10 with just over 3 minutes left, Clemson would rely on their running game to get them down the field. A few timely passes were able to get them within FG range where they would hit the game winning FG as time expired.
GG outlaw. Never been part of such a defensive struggle before. Was an exciting game to be part of. Good luck as you finish out the season.
