Blacksburg, VA {AP} ACC play is underway as the Coach VT & Coach Oracle rivalry unfolds it's latest chapter. Two staple coaches of the ACC Coastal Division have done battle for a few years now, with each game coming down to a few key plays & lucky breaks. Today would be no different as the two coaches would exchange blows for 4 quarters, but only one victor would emerge.
These two programs would take different approaches today's game - North Carolina would methodically put drives together while the Hokies would hit home runs. Through the first half Virginia Tech would lead 21-14 with nearly half the time of possession of North Carolina.
This trend would continue in the 2nd half as well but it would be the Defense playing a bigger role as North Carolina would finish the day with 5 Turnovers in the form of interceptions - with a few coming in the red zone.
With the win the Hokies remain undefeated in ACC play and now shift their focus to Week 7 and Pitt.
