In the first ever meeting between two longtime coaches, the game turned out to be a Thursday night thriller. Neither team could do anything on defense except just to try and limit whenever possible. UConn did a better job at that then Ohio, holding the Bobcats to 3 FG's. After a nice punt to close out the 1st Quarter, Ohio throws in the only play action pass called by Coach George in at least 4 seasons for a 96 yard TD. Too bad we couldn't end the game right there. The game went back and forth the whole game, Ohio going up 30-28 with 1:54 left to play on a 48 yard FG. Too bad there was enough time for Dave's team to march right down the field and kick a game winning 21 yard FG as time expired.
