That question was already answered for you. That however, was not the point I was trying to make. So to answer your question, no?

Your point was that the commish should protect guys that should be protected on guys if people forget to export? Is that the point you were making?

I think this is the immersion Billy is looking for. He'd be having a fit if this was all on Slack. Things really took off in the past few hours.

I can understand your argument George, I can. Part of me says, fuck em, it is on them, but it really depends on the situation of who the guys were and what is going on with them in the league.
If it is a guy that just literally forgot, but they are active, I have the fuckem attitude like you as they should be protecting more than the sim right before Rule 5, but if it is a guy who has not been around for a while, has exported like 25% and is most likely gone, then I can see the commish protecting that team for the better interest of the league.

A commish will do what is in the best interest of the league, as a whole.
What if the owner was inactive and now you let 6 guys get picked from their minors in Rule 5, that were stud players, lets say 1 80, 2 mid 70's, the rest 60+ rated.
How many season does that set that team back if they only had 8-9 guys worth a shit in their minors?

Now, have fun finding someone that wants to take over a team that had the #1 ranked minor league system, but after Rule 5, they are now 26th out of 30 teams.

It is in the best interest of the commissioner to protect the league the best they can.
If that means protecting a few guys, so be it.

I get that completely. But if it's someone like me, Nick Shel, Corey, Billy who export at a high rate then have at it. Kdog when he was having interwebs problems I'm all for the commish helping out, or for Ry last night when he reached out. But if they are active on the boards OR exports then it's on them. I say or because AJ says he doesn't export if it's not needed on occasion

Looks like two teams (DPRK and Orange County) exported on the first file from this morning.

Kslaze wrote: Thu Jul 30, 2020 1:09 pm That’s dumb. Why would you have to activate someone who is still hurt?
To protect them. It's always been that way, right or wrong, just how it works in OOTP as I understand it.
You don't even have to activate them, just put them back on the 40 and/or move them to the 10 day. The sole purpose of the 60 day is to not occupy at 40 man spot for someone who is hurt for a long time. It's a helper, not a crutch.

I had Cruz on the 60, didn't show up on the Draft pool, but I still took him off the 60, put him on the 40, and informed Billy. Low and behold... I didn't lose him. Took me 37 seconds.

A good owner non-tendered him because he has been dying for 2 seasons. He’s down to 50 contact. We will revisit this in a season or two and see how ya feel
