2084 Season Thread... Crab Cakes and Baseball, That's What Maryland Does
Re: 2084 Season Thread... Crab Cakes and Baseball, That's What Maryland Does
Gotta start putting an asterisk beside titles.
Re: 2084 Season Thread... Crab Cakes and Baseball, That's What Maryland Does
To be clear, I was not aware of any changes that were made until the last day or so when I asked Billy. I agree with Niddler, changes should be tested off file before ported to this one. I also wouldnt make changes mid season. They need to be made in the offseason and left to let the season ride. Its a slippery slope when you start editing stat modifiers. I would only do them in desperate attempts to fix things when OOTP decides to fuck up ported leagues.
Typically I'll reset modifiers when we port to new versions and then let the game auto adjust. They usually do within a season or two.

I see the root of everyone's problem......
The Beef are not a bottom 10 team this year.

Some of you are way off on what actually happened. Nothing that happened has any impact on a yellow LH starter. It just changes what the game sets as average. Your 80 contact guy has the same advantage over the 60 contact guy no matter what the modifiers are at. It does not add or take away any advantages.
I didn’t post about it because 80% of the guys don’t understand it. I didn’t either until I talked to several people who know the workings of this game better than I do. People have complained forever about offense so I tried to address it.

I *gulp* agree... with AJ...?ajalves wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 1:07 pm I have zero issues with the ever so slight changes Billy made. The game changes quite a bit every time we switch versions. No one seems to care (except me) This doesn't really seem different in my opinion
as someone mentioned..... and 85 contact guy shouldn't be hitting .240. Maybe an 'off year', but for the most part they shouldn't. the stub pitchers seem to still be thriving and we got some fun offensive stats to check out
I don't see the problem. I trust Billy has our best interests in mind

If that was true, he would have said something derogatory towards Nick and his s***** vice team
