+1

wont happen.

bank points are not extra credit

they are solely intended help to foster jeffmo's "dynasty" environment.

Going 6-6 with a top team and getting to keep them is retarded.

If it happens continuously, yes. Not if its one season out of 6 or 7 or however long it may be.

You forgot the mighty Big East Champion Pitt Panthers. I mean I wanted to keep them but forgot to tell AJ in time. :|

No one is going 6-6 with a top team rating wise and keeping them. VT was a B and notre dame was a B-.

The determination of whether you get to keep your team has never been about winning. The day it does is the day this league will fail. I can remember reading way back when I got called up that this league is special because it is about a brotherhood of gamers that are looking for a realistic experience while playing NCAA football. Now some of you sound a little to caught up with wins and loses. I agree it would be awesome to be the champ, but not at the cost of fun. You could be in a cheese league somewhere else, but with the best team in the game.... Glass half full gentlemen..

The 40-40-20 is a great setup, IMO I have lost my favorite team (UF) when I thought I did well enough to keep them, but I did not. I had ZERO bank points to help me so I too was upset, but you can not let it get in the way of what this league is really about.

a 35-35-30 system would cause more of what I saw last year.. people going for it on 4th down while beating me (for example). Perhaps instead of complaining about things you should be a better evaluator when it comes to your coaches reports instead of just giving 5's across the board in the hopes you opponent will do the same for you.

Take a shit team in a power conference, (like vandy) and make it so u have a win goal of 1. do all the easy shit and as long as ur not a cheeseball u will get a top 10 pick.
this is horseshit. No matter what the fuckin' circumstance, if a much weaker team wins, they never get 5's. I've actually heard someone (who will remain nameless) go "its hard to gives 5's". i got an avg of 4/5 one season and was put on probation and some people think 5's are hard to be attained lmao.

plus whenever someone loses, they just go off the deep end for why they lost. NOT everyone is nice and enjoys having fun.

that's why i feel it should be more 35-35-30 so people don't get fucked over because of someone being mad. Plus everyones version of legit is diff (some cry like its the end of the world for middle passing, some hate blitzing etc etc). its never easy to please everyone. so 2 bad marks, and good bye decent pick next yr as i get a 92% in Coach Reports which leads to like 36.8 which even if everything else is perfect, i'll be picking around 30-40.

Thank you

maybe instead, we could leave Coach Reports locked for like a few hours after the game so people have time to relax, calm their nerves and then give a CR properly. Just sayin'

okay I've only been in this league for two years and I've enjoyed every single game I've played (win or lose) I started out with New Mexico and last year had Syracuse...I think that the system we currently have is fine and it gets the job done, you are not going to be able to please everyone. You will have people that will not be happy if it was switched to 35-35-30.

this situation kind of reminds me of the current BCS system. You have people saying that a playoff would be best and others saying the current way is best....either way your going to have teams saying they should be that #2 team or even if it went to a 4 team or 8 team playoff you'll have teams complaining they should have been in it.

Interesting since I've twice in the past 2 years taken weaker teams, won lots of games, and had near perfect coaches reports.

So your "never get 5's" comments, not true, not true at all.

I like Hart's suggestion of a 40-35-25 system.

Summaries and stats are the easiest part of the league so it would make sense to reduce the weight of that category. Anyways, im not concerned there are plenty of fun teams to use.

it helps when you play your buddies often, but at the same time I did do my best probably when i was Northwestern. I will say the coach reports when you're a bad team winning more games than you should are never as high as they are when you're a good team winning games because ppl get upset when they get upset

plus another reason u probably did so well shel, is because u are a conf commish. people are afraid if they play u bad it'll set an alarm off. thats what i think anyways. I play how i play vs everyone so how come i dont get a consistent score?

I am probably not the best to comment on coach's reports because mine vary so far it's crazy, but....

I think it's easier to get high grades from guys that have been in the league and are considered the "upper tier-type" guys. They are most likely going to win anyway, and if they lose they can do it graciously. I know emotions go into coach's reports, and after tough losses people will without give lower scores then someone deserves.
