Something for the Gamblers out there

FLY EAGLES FLY!!!!!!!!
Re: Something for the Gamblers out there
After Hurts pick the absolute worst I can do is tie for 2nd which gets me a 4k payout. Ashton Davis does not matter now as we all 3 have him under 76.5. This is going to come down to Pats taking a QB in the 3rd or 4th round and Earl Weaver going under 127.5.
If I can split one of those two I tie for 1st and bring him 8600

Adrenaline through the roof!
Re: Something for the Gamblers out there
Pats with 6 freaking picks in rounds 3 and 4. I just need one eff'n QB.
Re: Something for the Gamblers out there
Damn it, thought for sure they were trading up for a QB
Re: Something for the Gamblers out there
So coming down to this today.
Earl Weaver under 127.5
Pats draft a QB in round 4.
Win both 11500
If I split them I win 6500
Lose both 4000
Came out nice either way but let’s go ahead and grab the 11

well the pats don't currently have a pick in round 4.... not liking your odds on that one.

Re: Something for the Gamblers out there
When I was heavy into online poker and DFS, this was 1 thing that always concerned me what I 'stepped away' for the grind for a few days. It would set it just how immune I was to the stakes I was playing. For some it's not a lot, but I was putting up 4 figure nights consistently and with zero emotional investment. My bankroll was X and my amount in play was less than 5% of X at all times... and that's all I cared about. The analytical side of me completely shut out everything else. But when I'd get of the grind due to a vacation/heavy work period, it was kind of crazy to see a couple 100k in action in less than a year.

Re: Something for the Gamblers out there
Another thing I'll add... it completely ruined season long fantasy sports with my friends. I've been running a few $50 entry leagues for them for nearly 20 years now. I remember spending hours doing draft prep, having weekly trade discussions, analyzing match-ups and keeping track year over year on how we all did. Now I just run them to keep them going for those guys. Draft day is always a blast, but it's a chore to even look at my teams by week 3 and I don't give a shit about the money.
Same thing happened with poker as well. We had a weekly ring game that ran most of 2000-2010. Sometime around 2004-2005 I started playing online and by 2006, I was multi-tabling with a HUD or running very high stakes ring games on Full Tilt and frequently seeing a lot of pros on there. I'd show up on Saturday night to the ring game and just be annoying at the play and generally not even enjoy playing.
In both cases, the only reason to do it was to BS with friends. They'd take it much more serious, while I couldn't care less. Only the last few years have I been able to hit a poker room or a random get together and actually enjoy playing a little. (still seem to lose interest after watching a bunch of shit play... that used to be fish in the water, now it seems like it's just a turd stinking up the place)
Hell, maybe I'm just old, grumpy and don't care about much of anything.
