I know these rankings don't mean anything right now but Clemson over Miami is LOL funny. Yes, I'm aware that Clemson has more solid wins but it's still absurd.

They lost to a team Miami beat. And the QB injury is no excuse when Wake Forest put up 64 on Syracuse too.

The other thing is Georgia was ranked #1, largely because of their big win over ND...by 1 point. Miami beats them by 30 and is still behind a 1 loss team.

Feels good to hear non-Miami fans express the absurdity of it.

But yea, we control our own rankings basically so we will let it slide for now!

They'll get to settle it on the field in the championship game.

What if
Miami and Alabama win out
Wisconsin loses to Michigan and the title game
Oklahoma loses again

Two 2 loss teams in the playoffs over a 12-0 UCF team if they can win out. Most likely, way too much blue blood to allow an outsider in. Not saying they would have a chance at winning but they should be given a chance right?

My UCF peeps have 0 shot at getting in.

I don't know who gets in with your scenario, but there would be a host of 2 loss squads that UCF had no shot of jumping. UGA, Clemson, Wisconsin, UGA, ND, PSU/OSU, USC, TCU.

I agree there is no way they would jump them with the way it is decided now. But they should give them a chance. Boise State wasn't given the opportunity for a long time as well, but when they played the big boys in the bowls they did very well.

I love Ohio State, but if they win out and are the Big10 champs, most are saying they get into the playoff hunt.
I just do not agree with a 2 loss team being in the playoff hunt under the current setup.
Now, if you take what Reign originally proposed and have the 4 big conference winners then 2 non conference teams in there, that is a different story.

Big 10
Big XII
SEC
Pac 10

What about ACC?

I think it would be great if the big 5 were in and 3 at large bids. If another conference not in Big 5 has an undefeated champion they are automatically in as an at large.

Are you just naming the conferences or stating that the PAC 12 would get in over the ACC?

Big 5, 1 guaranteed spot to a non-big 5, 2 at-large.

Those are your typical big 5 conferences

4 best teams right now are Wisky, Bama, Miami, and Auburn from what I have seen with my own eyes at THIS POINT of the season. Two of these teams play each other which is rad, the Iron Bowl has so much implication this year, its crazy.

Double post, was talking to some friends today....

Is there no more under rated program in the last 20 years in Football than Wisconsin? They are always a great program and fun to watch play, and I have been to Camp Randall, I would put it up against any stadium in the country in getting hyped up for a big game.

There is absolutely nothing fun about watching Wisconsin play. The stadium atmosphere is great but their style could not be more boring

It works year in and year out and they have to play that style at times because of the weather and they do not get the same kind of talent as most SEC schools.

Wisconsin is fun to watch because the defense knows what they are going to do 90% of the time and still can't stop it. It's not even chess for them as like most offenses. They line their 300+lb linemen up and run it down your throat. The second half is where you see the effects of that style of offense.

Not a fan of watching Wisconsin games. Snore-fests. If ND isn't playing, my #2 team to watch is Georgia Tech. Beyond that, I'm looking for an explosive offense... preferably with spread option elements.
