Excel/Google Spreadsheet help
Re: Excel/Google Spreadsheet help
Nice! I'll check it out when I get home, thanks!
Re: Excel/Google Spreadsheet help
Could you also just right click the row or column and format the cells so you don't have to drag or copy and paste?
Re: Excel/Google Spreadsheet help
I'm pretty sure I tried that unsuccessfullyDRWebs wrote:Could you also just right click the row or column and format the cells so you don't have to drag or copy and paste?

We're all rooting for Weasel here, such an underdog, feelgood story if he can pull it out.

Re: Excel/Google Spreadsheet help
I thought this was what he was doing but was looking for a better way, I think I misunderstood it all along.Seeitsaveit13 wrote:Click the box you like, and bottom right drag and it will duplicate the formulaWeasel wrote:I know Im probably using the wrong terminology here, but by "setting" the columns I mean Im trying to find a way to enter a formula in cell A1=B1+C1, and have it automatically apply that same formula to the rest of column A without me having to re-enter it or copy/paste it. So as I populate columns B and C, column A will automatically know to sum their total for that row. Its really not hard to do manually, but as my sheet gets more complex it will save me loads of time
Re: Excel/Google Spreadsheet help
Using the bottom right drag did the trick, so far its the best option Ive found. I drag it down a couple pages worth of rows at a time and go from there, much better than re-entering formulas

It's the best way, because it actually duplicates the logic in the original formula and allows you to skip updating the cell #'s etc.
You can also do it to copy a whole row at a time for the same purpose. The only time it gets annoying is with dates, because it assumes the next day following the date listed, which isn't always what you want. Otherwise, it's supreme.

So you are saying my visual aid with attached details worked for you?
Imagine that. One healthcare professional to another.
